To perform heavy data annotation smoothly on high-resolution video timeline tracking, and AI-assisted segmentation, your system should meet or exceed the following specifications.

System Memory

Minimum 16 GB RAMRequired to cache high-resolution image sequences and run multi-instance models smoothly in the browser.

Processor (CPU)

Intel i5 10th Gen (or Mac/Apple Silicon equivalent)Ensures low-latency browser canvas rendering and fast calculations for polygon edits and AI predictions.

Web Browser

Google Chrome Supported OnlyOur canvas engine is optimized specifically for Chrome. Other browsers may experience interface lag or feature errors.

Network Speed

Minimum 5 Mbps BandwidthEnsures seamless cloud dataset retrieval, pre-annotation injection, and fast export operations.

Performance Recommendations for Heavy Annotation

When working with long video sequences (100MB - 500MB) or dense datasets with hundreds of overlapping bounding boxes, hardware specs become critical to prevent browser tab crashes.

Why Chrome is Required?

Labellerr leverages GPU-accelerated WebGL rendering. Google Chrome provides the most compliant and highly-optimized runtime for these features.
  • Hardware Acceleration: Ensure Hardware Acceleration is enabled in Chrome Settings (chrome://settings/system).
  • Network Stability: A wired ethernet connection or strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi is recommended to ensure continuous streaming of frames without buffering.
  • Tab Management: Close unnecessary browser tabs and resource-heavy background applications during intensive annotation runs.
