1. Workspace-Level User Management
Previously, users could only be added to a single annotation project at a time. Now you can manage users at the workspace level, where each workspace consists of multiple ongoing annotation projects.
Key Capabilities:
- Workspace-Level Access: Add and manage users once at the workspace level instead of per project.
- Project-Wide Coverage: New users are available across all annotation projects within the workspace.
- Simplified Onboarding: Onboard annotators, reviewers, and managers without repeating project-by-project setup.
2. Enforced SSO Sign-In for Every Workspace Member
Enforce Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication for all members of your Labellerr workspace. Currently supported identity providers are Google Workspace and Okta.
Key Capabilities:
- Forced SSO Login: All workspace members must authenticate through your identity provider.
- Supported Providers: Google Workspace and Okta.
- Centralized Identity Management: Align Labellerr access with your organization’s SSO policies.
3. Restrict Workspace Access to Approved IPs
Restrict access to your Labellerr workspace by allowing only specific IP addresses.
Key Capabilities:
- Restricted Access: Only requests from allowlisted IP addresses can access the workspace.
- Enhanced Security: Block unauthorized access from unknown networks.
- Granular Control: Define exactly which IPs can reach your workspace.
4. All Object Segments on One Timeline
Previously, each annotated object in a video had its own separate timeline. Now there is a single timeline on which every object is overlaid, making it easy for annotators to see all annotation segments at a glance.
Key Capabilities:
- Single Overlay Timeline: All annotated objects are displayed on one timeline.
- Segment Visibility: See how long each annotation segment is and where it occurs.
- Easier Video QA: Compare and review object segments without switching between timelines.
5. Lag-Free Video Streaming
Video annotation used to suffer from latency and slow playback while streaming frames. Video streaming has been fully optimized, eliminating playback lag when annotating frames. Key Capabilities:- Instant Playback: No more latency when playing videos during annotation.
- Smooth Frame Scrubbing: Navigate and annotate frames without buffering delays.
- Faster Workflows: Spend time annotating instead of waiting for video to load.
6. Hear Audio While Annotating Videos
Previously, audio was stripped from videos during dataset creation, leaving annotators with silent footage. Video audio is now retained and can be heard while annotating. Key Capabilities:- Audio Retention: Video files keep their audio track through dataset creation.
- In-Player Playback: Listen to audio directly in the annotation player for richer context.
- Better Annotation Context: Use audio cues to make more accurate decisions while labeling.
Why It Matters
These updates focus on three key pillars of annotation efficiency:- Streamlined Administration: Manage users at the workspace level and onboard teams faster across projects.
- Better Video Annotation Experience: Retained audio, latency-free streaming, and a unified timeline make video labeling faster and more accurate.
- Enterprise-Grade Security: SSO enforcement and IP allowlisting give you control over who can access your workspace.
