Quick Edit while Reviewing (Edit Files in View Mode)
In large-scale data annotation pipelines, quality assurance (QA) and review cycles are critical for model accuracy. However, switching back and forth between the review interface and the labeling screen to fix minor errors creates significant workflow friction. To solve this, Labellerr supports direct editing and annotation within View Mode. Reviewers and admins can make instant corrections, modify existing boundaries, or add missing annotations directly from the review interface. This reduces interruptions during QA, streamlines the correction loop, and speeds up overall dataset refinement.Key Benefits
- Faster Annotation Corrections: Modify labels, adjust bounding boxes, or refine polygons instantly as you spot errors.
- Reduced Workflow Switching: No need to bounce between separate labeling and QA screens.
- Improved Reviewer Productivity: Allows reviewers to maintain focus and execute corrections in one place.
- Better Collaboration: Minimizes back-and-forth loops between annotation teams and QA managers by enabling direct overrides.
Step-by-Step Guide: Editing Files in View Mode
1. Enter View Mode
- Navigate to your project dashboard and open the Files section.
- Select a file to view its annotations, or open the file directly in the Review / Client Review interface.
2. Click the Edit Button
- To edit files while in view mode, you must click the Edit button present in the view mode interface. This activates the annotation tools (such as bounding boxes, polygons, or keypoints).
- Select the appropriate tool or existing annotation that needs adjustment.
3. Make Direct Corrections
- Modify Existing Annotations: Click on an existing bounding box, polygon, or keypoint skeleton to reposition, resize, or edit it.
- Draw New Annotations: Select a label from your configured list and draw new bounding boxes or polygons directly onto the canvas.
- Update Attributes: Edit annotation-level attributes (e.g., class labels, visibility tags) directly in the attributes panel.
4. Save and Update
- Once corrections are made, save your changes. The updated annotations are applied immediately, ensuring the dataset reflects the correct status.
